$900 Gaming build
Hello everyone!
My brother is putting together his own PC and I wanted to know what you guys would suggest for a gaming build. He wants to go with an Nvidia video card at least. I don't think he has any real preferance in the CPU, but Sandy Bridge seems like the obvious choice. He wants it mainly to play Diablo 3 when it comes out so a GTX 460 or 560 should be more than enough. He doesn't need a monitor so the $900 is for the PC, OS, and he wanted a wireless keyboard and mouse too. Thanks EDIT: I forgot to mention he will be using NCIX to order the parts.

I have a quick question first...
What types of games does he play? I noticed the mention of your friend wanting a wireless mouse and keyboard... With my experience, depending on the types of games played and how competitive you play them, you want to stick with a wired mouse and keyboard for faster response times. It is just a thought. Playing FPS games you can really notice the lag between your actions and in-game. |

Agreed, twitch multiplayer gaming requires that the keyboard, mouse and router be hardwired....or expect to get fragged a lot.

I told him the same thing about wireless, but he is using his tv as the monitor so I think he wants to be able to move around the room with them.
He actually just told me he won't be ordering the parts for a few weeks so I told him to tell me what his budget is then and we'll take another crack at it. |
