First Gaming Computer build -1k
Just asking for a little help, I'm pretty sure all of the componnets work together, but if I'm wrong I'd really like to know. Thank again.
Answer to common questions. 1. I will be gaming with this machine, starcraft II and skyrim for sure. Ideally I'd like to play Skyrim on max settings, but without official release of specs its hard to say. 2. I will not be using this computer for much if any, photoshop media editing or similiar project. 3. I'll be running at 1920x1080p 4. I'd like to be able to upgrade the computer in the future where need be, hopefully not for atleast 2 years though. 5. I am not in a hurry to build this machine and will wait for the release of the amd chips before making final decisions. Hopefully that solves most of the questions now onto the goods. I don't believe a sound card to be necessary, but if I'm mistaken please inform me. |

There is no need to get the "K" series CPU and the aftermarket cooler unless you are planning on overclocking. I'd rather see a stronger video card and a lesser CPU if that puts you over budget.
I would recommend one of the Asus P8Z68-V boards instead of an Asrock for reliability reasons. G.skill ram has been having quality and compatibility issues - get Corsair Vengeance low profile ram instead. I'd rather see an Antec Earthwatts or HCG - or a Corsair TX, HX, or AX power supply. Sound card is not necessary. |
