Hi guys,
I'm not really an hardware guy, so im wondering if this is a good buil. Case: sixth_element_red PSU: Enthusiast Series Mobo: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS P8Z68-V PRO CPU: Intel® Core CPU cooler: Scythe USA-ProductsCPU Cooler MUGEN3 GPU: EVGA | Products or EVGA | Products RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Review | KitGuru HDD: Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive (twice) SSD:CT128M4SSD2 - 128GB, 2.5-inch Solid State Drive , from Crucial.com DVD re-writer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Optical Storage- ASUS DRW-24B3ST Additional 2 case fans: Shark Fan Red 12 OS: windows 7 Home edition 64bit. I will mostly play First person shooter games, sometimes mmo's. But i'd like to play battlefield 3 and modern warfare 3 on the highest settings or a level lower aslong that i can get some decent frames. around 60+ would i be able to get that with this build? I also added 2 additional case fans, for better airflow and a cpu cooler since the default one will be trash. But i have no clue what gpu i should take ? I have listed 2 but not sure if theyre good. The SSD would be for my OS and games, the HDD would just be for storage. |

It would be easier to see your build if you posted the links for the parts from a website like newegg.
Aside from that: You won't need the extra fans. The TX850 is a little overkill. All you need is a TX650. Switch the Gskill ram to Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, or ADATA. The Corsair Vengeance low profile is usually what's recommended. A Hyper 212+ cooler is cheaper and performs better. Switch the HDD to a Western Digital Caviar Black 64 mb Cache 6 Gb/s. For reliablility you're better off with an Intel SSD or ADATA that uses an Intel controller. The 310 120 GB or 510 120 GB would be a solid choice. Since this build is for gaming it is hard to tell you what to do about the video card without a budget. The GTX 570 (Not DS) would be a solid choice and should be able to play BF3 and MW3 at max or near max settings. If you can afford it the GTX 580 would give you all the eye candy your heart desires, but that's if its within your budget.
