Angry Fire HELP new comp assembly

I put together a computer today and I find it funny that it doesn't turn on my monitor, no beeps I cant see anything, the only thing that is working is the fans, hard drive ,dvd rom and the fan for the pentium other wise the video card s fan does not run so I know that is not responding .I tried connecting to the video card and also on the mb, I removed the video card and no video from the mb Is this a dead mb or am I missing something? the monitor works in my other systen

biostar t 41 HD express chipset
intel pent e 6700 775
4 gigs of memory

Did you plug the CPU connector from the power supply into the motherboard? It's either a 4 pin or 8 pin.

If the video card is a mid to high end card, it probably has external power connections that come from the PSU.
