Hi from the uk. Am taking my 1st steps in building a dual monitor gaming pc. My budget is £1500 Please have a look at my proposed build and any comments gratefully accepted. You don't need 2 graphics cards for dual monitors. Not only that, but that motherboard can only run the second card at x4, if you really do want to use Crossfire you need a higher end motherboard.
I wouldn't really trust a GS series Corsair PSU, look at the TX/HX/AX. If you really are going to run two 6950's, you need more than 700 watts. G.skill Ripjaws has a history of reliability and compatibility issues, I recommend low profile Corsair Vengeance instead. The WD Green drives aren't really suitable for primary drives, get a SATA III Black instead. The Hyper 212 Plus is a better cooler than the TX3. Save some money and get an OEM version of Windows instead of full retail. |
