Sound Card Requirments and Video Card
ok so im building a gaming computer and one of the requirments for the main game im going to be playing is this
DirectX compatible sound card now id rather not have to spend the money on a sound card which is why im wondering do you have to have a sound card or is the onboard sound in my motherboard good enough? ASUS P8Z68-V Newegg.com - ASUS P8Z68-V LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and this is just a add on question but it also says that the video card has to be directx 9.0c compatible so what if your video card is directx 11? Is directx 11 backwards compatible and will 9.0c work with 11? Thnx! |

The onboard sound is more than adequate, and a DX 11 video card is backwards compatible.
