Wink Build for a friend

It's been a few months since I last gave you lads trouble with my builds ;D
So, as my friend wanted a build done for him, I figured I'd come to you guys for some final help before I give him the A-OK to start ordering.
Here's a list of the parts, with all the links:
System Build - PCPartPicker
And if you're too lazy to click on that, it has the following parts:
i5 2500k

Cooler Master Hyper 212+

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3

Corsair Vengeance (8Gb @ 1600 Mhz)

Western Digital Caviar Black 6.0 Gb/sec 1tb

MSI GTX 560Ti Twin Frozr II

Cooler Master Haf 912

Corsair TX750 v2

Some Sony DVD-RW

Now, I'm looking to cheapen his build a bit, while maintaining the same build quality overall. (as in not changing around the performance ~ only increasing or keeping the same for the same price) I want to maintain his ability to SLI the GPU's later on, as he wants this computer to last a long time.
Any help?

Right now, I'm looking at switching it over to an Antec or Seasonic power supply, as I believe those are cheaper, with the same quality, I just don't know my way around them.

If you're not going to be adding a second card anytime soon or plan on upgrading the graphics to a high-end card (such as a dual gpu card), you can downgrade the PSU to a 550W unit as long as it is of good quality.

Right now hard drives are extremely expensive (compared to a few months ago anyway) due to the global shortage caused by the floods in Thailand, so you could also downgrade the size of the hard drive down to a 500GB Caviar Black without losing much performance.

If you need more space, you could always add a 2TB green or something similar down the road for storage once the factories become functional again and the prices come back down.

EDIT: Just looked at prices for hard drives and they are crazy high, if you really need to build this computer soon, I would go for the least expensive hard drive of decent size (maybe 250GB or so) and add in a better hard drive such as the Caviar Black or even Barracuda XT once the prices come down. Right now i'm seeing over 100% markup in prices compared to a few months ago.

How about a Z68 board, a cheap hard drive (WD Blue?), and a 64gb SSD to cache the hard drive?

Got a budget number for the computer (without peripherals or OS)?

OS and peripherals are not an issue, and budget being around $900, although it can go either way. I don't think he plans on adding an SSD, hence I went with P67 for the cheaper price. The price of the Caviar Black only went up $20, so I figured it wasn't that big of a deal. Although this sounds like a decent plan w/ the SSD, as he can always add a big HDD later.

If you have a recommendation of a Z68 board that's either Asus or Gigabyte that allows for SLI/Crossfire at a decent price, please say so!
