New Gaming PC- Most bang for the buck

Hello All,

I am a long time home builder who due to being out of work for nearly 3 yrs hasn't upgraded my own system in 4 or 5 yrs.

I have slowly upgraded little parts of my pc over the last few years, like Power Supply, Case, HD ect

So I am looking to upgrade the core components.

Chip
Motherboard
Ram
Video Card
And of course need to take into account I want to upgrade to Windows 7 (added expense)

I am a avid MMO'er (wow), Skyrim ect and would like a system that will last me another 3-5 yrs.

My budget if I squeeze out every last drop would be about $700, this must include Windows 7 as well. So First question is x64 windows 7 the correct choice?

I have decided on 2 other things. For a CPU I want a I5 2500 and I want to shop at Memory Express(free shipping) If there is an argument against either lets here them.

CPU: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX31557

Motherboard:
http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX33407
I have also Heard that P67 are a good gaming choice, would like opinions or options on Motherboards

Ram:
http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX35113

Video Card:
http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX34482

So the Video card is not what exactly what I want but I figure if I have a strong Mother Board and CPU I can upgrade to a better video card later on.

So does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Thank you for Reading

Save 40 bucks:

Asus P8Z68-V LE w/ Dual DDR3 1600, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, PCI-E, Quad CrossFireX at Memory Express

Also look at Radeon 6870 video cards, they are equal to a GTX 560.

Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E w/ Dual DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, Dirt3 at Memory Express

Yes, 7x64 is the correct choice for a system with more than 4gb ram.

I agree with glc.

The Z68 is going to give you a little more bang for the buck in the event you add an SSD for caching in the future. The P67 is more of an enthusiast board.
