I built a PC about 5 months ago. But I haven't tried replacing the stock cpu fan yet. I just would like to know if anyone tried if the Noctua NH-D14 cpu fan would fit my CM storm sniper case? Noctua NH-D14: Newegg.com - Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler CM Storm Sniper: Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Storm Sniper SGC-6000-KXN1-GP Black Steel, ABS Plastic, Mesh bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case MY RIG: Sandy Bridge Gaming PC 24/7 thnx in advance. please only post if you're sure ![]() |

That CPU cooler is 6.3 inches tall and the depth of your case is 10". So, allowing 1" to the base of the CPU from the back of the case, you have about an 2.5" to spare if no fans on the side cover.

I like Artic Cooling CPU heatsinks and this one is about an 1.5" shorter than the ones you have linked: Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler
