In almost all cases, you don't need sound cards these days. Your board already has some really good 8 channel sound. You also will not need the NIC card. Your board has its own onboard LAN, two LAN ports. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=183ztdqq4qhm9 Go with Corsair Vengeance low profile 1600, 1.5 volt RAM over the Ripjaws. I am assuming that with K series processor you plan on overclocking. If this is the case then you will need to add an aftermarket heat sink.

I've made the suggested updates with links and removed the NIC and sound card. I apologize - I should have been more specific with the optical drive; I'm looking for something with CD/DVD burning capabilities as well. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! Looks good. Newegg is the way to go in my opinion. If you have a MicroCenter near you (TwinCities / St. Loius Park) you may save a few bucks on the board and CPU but you have to go into store.
