Plz advise on my new build
Hi, this is my first time building a computer so I'd really appreciate any help you can offer on compatibility, gear selection, etc. My goal is to stay around $700-800 all-in (not including monitor/windows). This would be for gaming (SWTOR) as well as some music production.
Please note that several of the pieces are part of a bundled deal on NewEgg, which with my limited knowledge seems like a good deal for the quality of gear it includes: AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor FD6100WMGUSBX Newegg.com - AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor FD6100WMGUSBX Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive GIGABYTE GA-880GM-USB3 AM3+ AMD 880G USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-880GM-USB3 AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS500-PCARD3-US 500W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS500-PCARD3-US 500W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBXM Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBXM Rosewill RANGER-M Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case Newegg.com - Rosewill RANGER-M Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case ---- In addition to the bundle, I would get: 1 more order of the same Memory (2 x 2GB) EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card BELKIN F7D2102 USB N300 Micro Wireless Adapter Newegg.com - BELKIN F7D2102 N300 Micro Wireless Adapter USB Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates WEP WPA WPA2 WPS SONY Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1681S-0B - OEM Newegg.com - SONY Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1681S-0B - CD / DVD Drives Again, I would really appreciate your guys' feedback. I would much prefer a Hitachi hard drive to a Seagate.
Get an Antec (Earthwatts, HCG), Seasonic, or Corsair (TX, HX, AX) PSU. Do not get Ripjaws ram, get Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, or A-Data. Get a PCI or PCI-E wireless adapter. |

Thanks for the tip. If you don't mind me asking, are you recommending those brands purely on expecting stronger performance? Are there any technical or compatibility issues with what I have?

Brands picked for reliability reasons.
