Replace the hard drive with a Hitachi (only if budget is important) or Western Digital and you're good to go! The WD Caviar Black would be ideal, but hard drive prices are so high you should get whatever you can afford.

I went with the Caviar Black, thanks.
So I've ordered most of my parts (ended up adding a Crucial M4 SSD 128gb, couldn't help myself). The only things I need now are a monitor and a USB Wireless Adapter, since I don't think I'll be able to hard wire my computer. What suggestions do you guys have for making my machine wireless? Is a USB adapter the way to go, or should I install a wireless card? I have no idea what a good component to buy would be. At microcenter they were recommending one that cost almost $40, but I've seen them online for under $10. It would be nice to one day be able to wirelessly stream content to a new TV, but that may be a ways off for me so maybe I don't have to worry about it yet. Also, if you guys have any suggestions for a 23-24'' gaming monitor that would be great, thanks! |

What is the brand and model of your wireless router/access point? Have you considered powerline networking? Why can't you run Ethernet?
