Multi-Purpose PC - noob here
Hey guys, I'm fairly new at this. I've shopped at NewEgg before and replaced my videocard in the past but as a whole my computer is OLD. Are there any tutorials that show step by step how to build a new PC?
I am here to get some opinions on what I need. I guess my budget would be around 7-800. I do play games on my computer but nothing too serious. I don't need BF3 running at highest settings. I am looking at Guild Wars 2 so I'd like my PC to be able to handle that on high settings, not necessarily highest. I also am a Game Design student, so I work around with Autodesk and other dev kits. I'm a sucker for something that looks BADASS as well. Sorry for my french. I've seen some really cool cases out there and would prefer one for myself. Not sure if that drives the price up a lot or not, you tell me. I guess I'm looking for a good modern day gaming PC but can handle everyday uses as well. All I need is the hardware. I also have always rolled with Nvidia and never had any issues, I'd prefer to stay with them but if the price & performance vs another competitor isn't worth it, let me know. I've got a good monitor so I am set on that. Hope you guys can help me out, appreciate it. Last edited by JArruda; 01-21-2012 at 04:01 PM. |

As far as budget goes, I'm looking at 700-800 for just the Hardware minus the Monitor. Software need not be included. |
