$1000 Budget Gaming Build

Hello guys. I've been lurking this board for some time now (about a year) and I believe that I am almost ready to purchase and build my first gaming computer. Games in mind that I'd like to play at max settings are Battlefield 3, StarCraft 2, Star Wars: TOR, and upcoming games like Diablo 3 and Phantasy Star Online 2. I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and a copy of Windows 7 and I don't need a sound card.

So, here is my list:

Case: Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

MotherBoard: ASUS P8Z68-M Pro LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Graphics Card: HIS IceQ X Turbo H695QNT2G2M Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16

Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000

Memory: ADATA XPG Gaming Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black WD7502AAEX 750GB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s

CD/DVD Drive: LITE-ON DVD Burner
*The details for the Lite-On DVD burner says that the supporting operating systems are: Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Will it install fine if the OS I will be using is Windows 7?

As stated in the title, my budget is $1000 and the setup I researched gets me really close ($995). I can go another $50 more if I have to for better graphics, but would like to keep it at or below the $1000 mark.

I would change the memory to this to take advantage of XMP
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CML8GX3M2A1600C9B

Go with the ATX board if you can swing it
ASUS P8Z68-V LE LGA 1155
Newegg.com - ASUS P8Z68-V LE LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

The DVD burner is fine.
