You won't find a company that sells more dysfunctional hardware than functional, or there is no way they would stay in business. One company may have a 1% fail rate whereas a 'lesser' company has a 3-5% fail rate (made up numbers). With either choice, you're unlikely to end up with bad hardware, but some choices are more likely than others. This is why its great to listen to Khalil and GLC here on the forums. I may have built three computers, one with a Gigabyte card. Just because my card worked for three years doesn't make them the most reliable company, and three computers worth of hardware is a sadly small sample size. Whereas these two have built thousands of computers and have a much higher sample with which to compare, not to mention having to deal with many of the companies customer service. Personally, even if I could guarantee that any card I chose would work, I would prefer to support a company that people I trust have said good things about, vouch for, and had good dealings with in the past. Just my two cents. |
