New Gaming Build

I'm really excited to make a new computer but I haven't built one in about 4 years and was hoping for some input. I've put together a list of the parts I like thus far.

My questions/concerns:
Is the power supply sufficient? (hooray for modular)
Motherboard, 68 or 77? I will not be overclocking anytime soon.
Any ideas on how to shave a couple hundred dollars?

Here's my saved list on PCPartPicker: System Build - PCPartPicker

CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 3.1GHz Quad-Core $179.99
Mobo: Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 ATX LGA1155 $174.99
Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 $43.99
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $120.99
Video Card: HIS Radeon HD 7970 3GB $479.99
Case: Lian-Li PC-9F ATX Mid Tower $72.00
Power Supply: Corsair 750W ATX12V / EPS12V $110.98
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS70 OEM DVD/CD Writer $22.98
Total(ish) $1,200

I have a monitor/mouse/keyboard/OS.

Thank you all for your feedback!

Newegg.com - HIS H787F2G2M Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card[/QUOTE]

Here's something I always wanted to know....
this card can support 2 monitors, right? obviously only one can be HDMI connected, what if I wanted to have 2 monitors connected via HDMI? would i have to get a second card and cross fired? or would DVI give me the same resolution as HDMI?

DVI and HDMI are identical, except HDMI can also carry audio. They are both digital. You can get an adapter if the monitor doesn't have DVI.

Thanks for quick feedback!! Does anybody get the extended warranties from NewEgg? I thought they were already really good for returns/exchanges. Please advise. You guys are great!

It depends on what the manufacturer's warranty is, and the reputation of the manufacturer. I stay away from items that NEED an extended warranty, if you know what I mean.

Thanks guys. I have another question. I've assembled everything, Win 7 is up and running, but I can't get the pc to find the internet. I've installed the Realtek ethernet driver and am stumped. My old laptop runs Vista and I can use the exact same cord to post this message. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Diagnostic says the cable is broken or disconnected but I know that's not true. Is there a different driver I should be using?

Did you install the Intel chipset driver before you installed the other drivers?

I did not. Is there a correct sequence to them?

Intel chipset driver first, then no particular order.

Tried that, then simply the LAN driver. Still no luck. There's moments when its shows that it's connecting to the network but then it goes away... My friends here that have built many can't seem to diagnose what is going on. No spyware or firewall stuff yet... If driver sequence was done properly, cord works, what else could this be?

Are you using the driver off the motherboard support DVD, or the latest downloaded driver?

The motherboard *might* be defective - for 30 bucks you can have a top quality 10/100/1000 card:

Newegg.com - Intel EXPI9301CTBLK Network Adapter 10/ 100/ 1000Mbps PCI-Express 1 x RJ45
