Psu
I need a power supply to replace a failing one in a pre-built Lenovo from several years ago. I do not know what wattage I require, nor can I find the list of recommended manufacturers on this site. Newegg currently has a sale going on assorted Corsair PSUs which prompted my search. I would like the cheapest recommended PSU which would suit my needs.
The link below is a picture of the label with information about the failing PSU. If more information is needed, I would be glad to supply it (provided I can find it). ![]() Edit: I should add that this is an office machine with nothing added from its original build. From the picture, its clear I do not require anything more than 310 watts. Last edited by archiecstll; 08-07-2012 at 04:24 PM. Reason: Additional Information Provided |

Newegg has several good PSUs in the 300 to 350w range. I have good success with FSP and Sparkle. They are around $32. Seasonic is another good brand, they are more than the first 2 I mentioned.

This is an excellent power supply
Newegg.com - SeaSonic SS-300ET Bronze 300W ATX12V V2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies Do you have the full model number of the Lenovo to verify the form factor needed? For example a M57 (A5U) would be a A6072A5U. It should be on a sticker. May be on bottom of unit as well. |

The CX series Corsairs are not recommended.
It's standard ATX form factor, the Seasonic that jdeb recommended will work well. |

Yes sir, Seasonic is good to go. It is whisper quiet, stable, and durable. You will need to use your old power cord as it is a bulk power supply.
