Graphics and Gaming Computer

Hello,
I am going to be building two computers one for gaming and one for graphics GLC has helped me a great deal for the Graphics computer now I need help with the gaming computer. I wish there was a way to be able to have a computer that would run both gaming and graphics instead of building two computers. This would allow a bigger budget for the one computer. So any advise in doing this would be great. Budget for one computer with both elements would be 2500.00. Other wise same with two computers 2500.00.

GLC you said on my last post the ideas I had for hardware where pretty good for Gaming computer. I reposted these can you please twick this. Once again if you can for a combined computer for graphics and gaming. Running Maya and Adobe products. Gaming Diablo and elder scrolls.

Thank you for your help.

I did a bit of research. The sticking point is trying to find a gaming card that will work with Maya and Adobe. It looks like a GTX 580 may work. It's Adobe-certified and is on the tested list for Maya 2012 but not 2013. The 600 series cards are not tested yet for either.

This is under $2000:

Newegg.com - Corsair Obsidian Series 650D (CC650DW-1) Black Steel structure with black brushed aluminum faceplate ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Newegg.com - SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Newegg.com - ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770K

Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+

Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CML16GX3M2A1600C10

Newegg.com - Intel 520 Series Cherryville SSDSC2CW120A3K5 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Newegg.com - LG Black 14X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 12X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA BDXL Blu-ray Burner,3D Play Back (WH14NS40) - Blu-Ray Burners

Newegg.com - EVGA 03G-P3-1594-KR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) Classified 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit - Operating Systems

I would recommend you contact Autodesk support and ask them specifically about a GTX580 with Maya and Win 7 64 bit.

GLC How do I contact Autodesk support? Is there a phone number or web sight?
I guess the person I am building for is not going to be using Maya now for her job but is going to be using Most Adobe products sorry for the going back and forth. She can not make up her mind.

Autodesk - Customer Service

If you are not going to be using Maya, you can save some bucks with a GTX570, which is also Adobe-certified. This is still a very good gaming card.

Newegg.com - EVGA SuperClocked 012-P3-1573-AR GeForce GTX 570 HD w/Display-Port (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
