Parts help please

So Ive taken the advise I've gotten here and decided to build a new computer.
I bought a MB
An ASUS M5A88-V EVO
Newegg.com - ASUS M5A88-V EVO AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
And A Corsair Carbide 300R Tower
Newegg.com - Corsair Carbide Series 300R Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
They are both here at my house now just waiting for a few more paydays to get the CPU and RAM ordered.
But here's a problem I've encountered.
I cannot find the rear panel port connectors anywhere.
No matter what I type into a search box? No matter which site I visit? I cannot find the parts to put in there. I've been to the estore at ASUS's site. No luck. Newegg, No luck, Amazon, No luck
Does anybody know where to purchase those items.
Or how many of those slots do I really need to fill?
I know I need the LAN RJ-45 port.
And I want all the USB ports that are on the back. And I need the Audio I/O port.

But I have a GeForce 9600 GT graphics card. So do I really need to get the HDMI, or DVI, or D-sub?
Any help in finding this stuff would be great
Thanks
Brad

P.S. and the proper cables?

There are no rear panel ports to connect to the motherboard other than the video card if your using one. They are built into the board. I assume I am understanding you correctly. There are front panel connectors and the layout is defined in the motherboard manual. The positive side of every connector is marked with a little triangle on the back side.

Audio cable comes from the front panel wires, it is marked hd audio. Location on motherboard is marked on diagram found in motherboard manual. Same applies to the USB, it is connected to front and it has a 19 or 20 pin connector. Location on board is in manual. Rear USB and LAN are built in, no connection to board needed.

The 9600 GT is where you attach the monitor. Pick the appropriate connection from the monitor cable.

Okay, I understand about the LAN and front audio. But how would I connect my 5.1 surround sound Logitech speakers? My web cam? Or the dongle for my mouse and keyboard?
I have camera's and a MP3 player that needs to be powered up every day because I listen to it at work. I cant just use the 2 USB3 ports in the front.
I'm pretty sure all the USB ports on the back of my current computer are in use as we type this.
And I thank you for your help. But how would I hook up all the things I just mentioned?
And I also have an external hard drive that I back stuff up on that I need plugged in from to to time.
If I'm missing something here? Just please explain to me like you would a kid.

Have you looked at your new motherboard? Most of the ports are there and the mobo have headers for the rest if you need them.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself as you don't need all that.

Eggo, I had thought that I had looked it over very thoroughly. But let me take another look at it.

@Eggo, Thank you so much. You're a genius. I overlooked the obvious.
That has lifted a heavy weight from my brain.
I'm seeing this build with better clarity now.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You're welcome.

It's a good sign that you're being thorough about your build though. Take your time, learn what you can and take it easy.

I have another question. It's about the fans. I know the CPU fan goes into the CPU slot. But in the layout I have of the MB. All fans are marked as #1 Is
Is the Chassis fan the outake at the back of the tower? And would power fan be the intake?
I realise it's all second nature to you guys. But I just want to be sure of the aspects of the build.

All fans in the case are chassis fans. The power fan connector may only be used with a power supply that has a fan tach lead. If you have more fans than connectors, you connect them with adapters directly to the power supply. A lot of case fans come with the adapters.

I have another question. I received my CPU and heatsink fan today. I opened up the box to look at it. Turned it around, and I didn't realize until it warmed up a bit that I had rubbed off some of the thermal compound. Should I get a rubber glove and spread it out evenly as much as possible? Or should I remove all of it and start with fresh compound?

P.S. thank you for the clarification on my fan question.

Depends on how much rubbed off. If just a little, don't worry about it. Install it. No need to spread. If you are not sure, clean and apply fresh artic silver .

I just purchased my ram sticks last night. They should be here on Tuesday. So I believe I have only 2 or 3 more questions.
#1, Do I apply the thermal compound to the CPU also?
#2,Will I have to reinstall my OS? (I will be using the one I have in my Dell right now)
#3,?
I'm sure by Tuesday I will have found something else that will cause me to go, UGGGH!.
Thank you all. This has been a big help.

1. If you start fresh, you apply the compound to the CPU, not the heatsink.

2. Yes, and if it's Dell OEM Windows it cannot be reused.

glc, thank you.
No Sir, it's an upgrade DVD purchased from newegg.
I know I'm probably pestering you guys way too much, but?
How about my optical drives? The CD drive came with the Dell. The DVD drive was purchased as a OEM from newegg. (I thought I bought it retail) That was the third question.
#4, The new MB I have has a 24-pin EATXPWR, 8-pin EATX12v. Does the 24 pin connection need to be plugged in if I'm only using one Graphic Card?

Never mind the last question. I just looked inside my computer. It answered itself.
Thank You

both the CD and DVD drive will work fine, but the Dell CD drive would look awful funny in the case if it doesn't have a standard front bezel.

Now what exactly would I need to install that?
I went to Corsairs website. Went to case fans.
Not really clear on what I would need to add a fan, or 2, or 4 to the tower.
Are they mounted inside of the panels? Outside of the panels? Side panels I mean.
All it said was, You need a 3 pin chassis open plug. (or something of the sort).
I bought all 16 gigs. But do not want to install them without proper airflow throughout.
Are they reversible mounted fans? Can I turn them to be inducted? Airflow in? Airflow out? Does it matter whether it's becomes positive or negative airflow?
Did that make sense?
Which adapter would I buy?
Thanks

And again, please indulge me. I'm just trying to build a 10 year computer. Other than a few 50, 60, 120$ parts. This should take me that far. I hope.

The case comes with 2 big fans, that's all you need.

Just when I thought I was done with all my questions.
My tower has 2 front panel USB 3.0 connectors. It uses what appears to be a 20 pin configuration. But I can not find a place on my MB to plug it into.
The MB is an ASUS M588-V EVO 880G RT.
I've been looking but to no avail. I just do not see where it could possibly connect to the MB.
Anybody have a solution?
Thank You

There are no headers for USB 3.0 on that motherboard. The only USB 3.0 ports on that motherboard are on the rear I/O panel.

glc, Thank you.
I just got an RMA from newegg. Would you recommend a MB that has USB 3.0 headers?
Thanks.

P.S., I believe it's 20-1 pin. It looks like it has 1 blocked out.

Do you really need USB 3.0 front ports? That board has headers for several USB 2.0 ports, and you can get a panel for one of the front external drive bays.

Newegg.com - SIIG JU-H42B22-S2 4-Port USB2.0 Front Panel Hub

No, Of course I don't need 3.0. But I would like to take advantage of and have the convenience of the front USB hubs.
Thank you for the link. I will check it out.

I finally got it built. It took a bit. But it's done.
Thank you for all the help.
It was a long journey that has taught me a lot.
I wish I could say that I will never do that again?
But I've already bought another MB.
I can hardly wait for the next build
