Excuse me? Your original post had an Antec Neo Eco, which is made by Seasonic, which is why you received no criticism. The Rosewill just magically appeared in your final list which you didn't post till after you bought it.

The Antec went up to $70 for 620w where I would need more eventually so I got the 750w for the same price.

Yes, however the problem with bad power supplies is that they usually take other parts with them when they die.

To add on to what Birddog said. Newegg only allows an RMA if it is within its allotted time. For PSUs, they are covered under the standard return policy; which means that within 30 days of the invoice date, the product must be returned if it is defective, for either a refund or exchange. Keep in mind that Newegg also charges a restocking fee (that is $15 if I'm not mistaken) and you also have to pay return shipping (which will probably be another $15). With this information, you'll be spending an extra $30 to get a refund or a replacement, where you could have used that $30 to get a reliable PSU without any problems.
After 30 days, Newegg doesn't cover the item, and you have to deal with Rosewill Customer Support in order to get a replacement. |

There is no restocking fee if the item is defective, only if you decide that you don't want it and you want a refund. The fee is 15%, not $15.
If you want to believe the Newegg reviews, it appears that there may be about a 20% DOA/failure rate on that particular PSU. You may have an issue with cable length in that huge case, the PSU is not really designed for bottom mounting - the SATA power connectors are "upside down" and the cables are a tad short. Too bad, because the case has an excellent cable management system. |

Ahh is there any extensions in particular you would recommend? Thanks for the comfort though in knowing that now
Oh and can I get them at my local Best Buy or will I have to order online?

You won't know till you try to build it, and you may have to order them. It may be cheaper to return the PSU and get a better one by the time you get done.

I agree with glc, return what you have and spend a little more on the PSU rather than spending extra on the extensions plus tax plus shipping.
If you don't want to do that then Amazon, Monoprice and Newegg have extensions. |

Another question. My case wont arrive till tomorrow but all of the guts get here today. Is it safe to begin assembling the fan on the motherboard now or should I wait till tomorrow amd do everything then?

You SHOULD do an out-of-case build first to validate your parts.
PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!! |

Okay perfect
so it will be fine if I leave the parts out on my wooden desk (I'll still have mobo on mobo box) for the night when they're assembled? I just don't want to damage anything. Thanks for the link the the thread btw, I've read it before just didn't occur to me now, derp on me.

Whatever you do make sure the static bags the parts come in don't get anywhere near the build while its put together or plugged in. Do NOT lay the board on the bag while building it, it will cause a short and ruin the board.

Your motherboard should have come with standoffs as well: at least I know that mine did. If not, you can always contact Thermaltake Customer Support and request them to send you some. Are you sure you're not missing the components box? I know almost all cases have a cardboard or plastic box that contains zip ties, standoffs, screws, etc.

Your case typically comes with half of then on half of them on. I believe standard ATX had nine so a little less than half. either way your case screw bag should have the six more.

Yep but its just good practice to keep the bags away from it at all times while building, just in case. I know my nephew has flipped the switch on a pc I was building before I was ready for it, anything can happen.

Well figured it out (quite quickly sorry for the delay in response). The case already had standoffs built in!!! Now that's quality. Guess I was too quick to jump into conclusions. Have the whole build done now, but windows 7 doesn't arrive till tomorrow morning. I tested it out and I got a CPU fan error though it was reading and working just fine. Read elsewhere that it was nothing and resolved itself later but I also noticed my memory was at 1333 so I boosted it up to the stock 1600 with power management set to auto. I reset and not only did the memory correct itself but the CPU Fan error disappeared as well. Seems like I'm ready to roll tomorrow. I'll try and get some pics up though I wish it wasn't such a hassle to link to a photo sharing website :/ Thanks for the responses though

You can post pictures as attachments, those would be direct uploads without using a sharing site. Use the "go advanced" button in the quick reply window. 5 attachments per post allowed, 100k file size limit.
