ethernet driver problem, new motherboard

Just bought a ASUS F2A85-M PRO to upgrade an older system running XP. Installed the new board and powered up -- windows woke up to the new environment and started loading motherboard drivers off the CD drive. The ethernet hardware was detected but when the driver installed, windows complained that there was a problem with the driver install (exact text of complaint forgotten). Of course, the ethernet does not function at all.

Figured I would dual boot 64 bit Linux later so I installed two memory dimms with 8 gig each even tho 32-bit windows will not see but around 25% of it. Could there be an address space issue interfering with the ethernet driver install?

Any other ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated.

There are three different Lan Drivers for that board, try them all:

ASUS - - ASUS F2A85-M PRO
