upgrading store bought pc
ok i have a computer for just basic stuff like surfing web and stuff but im going to upgrade it to make it into a gaming computer for my little brother it has a gateway motherboard model number is dx4870.It currently has a i3 2120 in it. I was going to upgrade the processor in it to a i7 process 3770k. Now i don't know if this motherboard has overclocking abilitys but i was wondering if u guy would tell me also i wanted to put a gtx 680 in it. it currently has a msi radeon 5770 hawk edition which i put in it a while ago. i also have a 530 watt psu which i also put in it. i also be upgrading the psu to a 750 watts i will upgrade the mother board in a later time just some of the main stuff it also has 6g of ram in it i ill be upgrading it to 16g of ddr3 crosair vengence ram now the case the model of the computer is DX4870-UB20Pi also wanted to upgrade that heat sink to water cooling i was going to put in a h80 hydro pump now im hoping the mother board would support all of these components. now if the motherboard is not compatible with all these parts which part would u suggest i wait to upgrade and change out the mother board instead.

Are you no longer going to do a build?
my first pc buld are there spec good? A build is a much better idea than trying to upgrade a proprietary name brand computer. |
