AMD equivalent to Intel i5-3570K

I've had a bit of a problem wrapping my arms around the fact that with the Intel, I would not have to have a video card in the system and wondered if there was an equivalent AMD CPU (speed) that would also NOT require a video card to be used. Not a gamer, just a moderate power user (some photoshop, HDR processing, things like that). I know that the 3570K is probably overkill but I do like to have the power for the future if I need it.

Appreciate any advice. Trying to hold down the cost of a new build a bit if I can as it seems prices have been rising lately. Seems Intel is pretty proud of their CPU's but maybe they earn that higher price, just not really smart enough to know. Been about 5 years since I built my current system and used Intel for the first time then. Have been happy with it.

AMD doesn't have a CPU with the computing power of a 3570K, with or without onboard video. The closest you are going to get is a FX-8350, and you will need a motherboard with onboard video, which is not available in higher end boards. The APU's have great video, but nowhere near the computing power of a 3570K.

Bottom line, no cost savings here. AMD is concentrating on lower end systems now.

Thanks. Value your opinions, knowledge and will just go ahead with the Intel and an Asus board. Kind of figured that might be the case but decided to ask anyhow.
