building $1000 PC for a friend need advice
A friend of mine has asked me if i could help him build his new PC for him because i have done it a few times before, but i have been out of the loop for a few years now so i am slightly confused about the new sockets and which brands are recommended.
He wants to be able to play the Elder Scrolls online game when it comes out and it needs to be within a $1000 budget. He also requires a new monitor included in the price, but does not need operating system software. I would prefer it to be an Intel/Nvidea build just because i have only build them in the past, but i am fine with AMD if it would be more cost efficient. So far i am thinking about the following, but i am completely unsure about the case and motherboard. As you can see i am already at the $1000 budget just from these items, so i need to find some ways to save money but still be fast enough. I was wondering if i could get some help with this. To save money get a case for under $50. Cut your hard drive back to a 1 Tb Black. Reduce your PSU to a 650 watt Corsair or Seasonic. You could also cut back on your CPU. I would not get a Gigabyte card. Look for an EVGA or Asus.

I used my admin powers, and see that you are in Australia. Is this correct? If so, you really need to put your location in your profile so people won't keep giving you links to US vendor sites.
The system requirements for ESO are relatively modest, the developers are making it so just about anything made in the past 5 years will work. Therefore, you don't have to get a high end video card, your budget would go farthest building a balanced system. That build looks pretty nice GLC. As always thanks for the help. I will run it over with my mate and probably order the parts tomorrow.
