External USB HDD Connectors.
Need some help finding this (assuming it exists). What I am looking for is much like a external USB 2.0 HDD. Supposely out there is a cable designed to plug in and out (multiple times) for both laptop, and desktop HDD’s.
Reason for looking for this is we are using a $20 laptop HDD casing to connect and disconnect HDD’s for work. The problem is the device isn’t really designed for constant connection and disconnection, so it’s taking it’s tall and probably will break soon. The guy I work with could have sworn he has seen something, where there is no casing, but just a plug to connect to the pins, and there is one for laptops, and desktops. I yet to find it on www.everythingusb.com. Does anyone know this exists, and if yes where? Also, it has to be USB 2.0. We went USB 1.1 and that took 8hrs, vs. the 30 minutes for the USB 2.0. Also firewire is out for most of the PC’s we deal with does not have firewire. |

Ignore, I was giving a link for USB 2.0 drives. Apparently you need something different.

We found what we are looking for: a bit on the pricey side but does what we want. We just need to test it out.
