Hi funknuts
When you say you have shared the printer, have you enabled the file and printer sharing for Microsoft networks in the properties of your NIC. Doug |

Instead of using the add printer wizard, try just viewing your network places then entire network, your own network, your PC,double click, is the printer listed.

if it is all xp network, same workgroup, blah, blah, and sharing/access is granted, the printer should automagically show up in the other pc's printer folder....

i went to another computer and went into my network places found the my computer icon. My computer was found in the domain. when i double clicked on it i got the message "\\computer was not accessible you might not have permissions to access this resource check with the network administrator to see if you have permission." I can access and see all the shared folders of other computers on the network just not mine. how do i set the permission on my computer so people can access it?
