Will my computer run hot?

I have not assembled the computer completely but I am curious if the configuration I plan on using will run hot and whether or not I should change it(powersupply, etc.)

Here it goes:
Chieftec Full Tower Black Matrix ATX Case
500W Ultra Powersupply(2fans)
5 case fans
1 512MB DDR400 Mushkin Non-ECC Memory chip
AMD Athlon 64 2800+ Retail
Asus K8V SE Deluxe MoBo
40G Maxtor IDE 7200RPM HDD
8X Memorex DVD +RW/-RW Optical drive
16X Memorex DVD-ROM Optical drive
1 3.5" Floppy

With 5 case fans and 2 on the PSU it should'nt run hot (probably run very noisy)

The HSF will be OK, you can't change it anyway unless you don't mind invalidating your warranty.

Don't worry about temperatures. I would dump the power supply in favor of this unit: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...103-604&depa=0 I am weary of an "Ultra". It could be a low quality unit. Enlight's are very good PSUs.

Second, drop some of those case fans. Do your ears a favor and stick with one front intake and one rear exhaust. 5 is overkill.

Your PC should not run hot. There are too many contributing factors to predict temperature, including CPU, wires, power supply, ambient room temperature, and air circulation, but theres no reason for excessive heat based on your configuration alone.

Build the system, (with the new PSU and only 2 fans) and see how your temperatures are. If they idle below 50C, no need for more fans.

I would say it will run very hot. But don't worry if you are entertaining you could use it as a hot plate to keep the snacks warm for your guests.

OK......I am just kidding. No you should not have any problems with heat, maybe a little noisy like Designer said, but temps should be fine.

I'm with Alaron... 5 case fans is overkill. Get 2-3 good, large fans and you'll thank us later. Not only are they much quieter, but they'll perform just as well as 5 smaller fans.

And no, it shouldn't run hot
