cds dont play in my stereo ?

i got a lite-on 52x32x52x and im burning audio cds with nero express at 12x (cd-rw) i can play the cds in one car but they dont play in the other :/ the cds also dont play in the main stereo in the house or the dvd player but they play in my lil sisters stereo. i am adding mp3's to the compilation on the understanding that they are automatically converted to a format playable by all cd players.

does anyone know why some stereos arent playing the cds??
is it because the cds are cd-rw?

It depends on the age of the cd player and whether they have the ability to read CD-Rs. I had the same problem with my home cd player which is from 1989.

hmm, the main stereo is only a few years old and in one of the cars its just a standard ford cd player (i guess the car stereo is carppy but the main cdplayer should play it)

More players will be able to read CD-R than CD-RW. Get yourself some CD-R's, they aren't that expensive.

If you're CDs have MP3s on them, that may be the reason why they are not playing. Only MP3 compatible equipment will play them. And no, the players don't automatically convert to a playable format.

Hth,

e.n.

EDIT: I misunderstood your question. You mean Nero is automatically converthing the format, right? jejeje..sorry about that...Next step would be to do as already suggested, use CD-Rs. But you might want to check, just to make sure they are in fact being converted.
