hmm..
right now im using a 160GB WD 7200 RPM 2MB cache and its running very fast and smoothly... dont think the 8MB cache will do any big difference, plus, im going to defrag my HD real soon so that'll make it much faster too, thats basically making it go almost as fast as the cache makes it go... :-P also, the speakers ure getting are amazing, really famous, really cheap (compared to what they're capable of) ure going all the way huh ? lol i would never get that kind of a sound card and those speakers and all those.. i just got a set of 2.1 speakers in staples/office max.. dont really remember, for like 15-20$ and they're really good in my opinion... Cyber-Acoustics is the company... Last edited by KoMoDo; 07-20-2004 at 09:35 PM. |

Looks good. I'd go with the Enlight 360W for your power supply.

No. You probably wouldn't notice the difference unless you are big on benchmarks.

Not really, only they run at different speeds, IMO 200mhz isn't that much of a difference unless you fold, and I doubt it will have a big impact on games.

Depends which you can afford, and if you will notice the difference. Do you run benchmarks? I would go with the 2.8 HT because its more affordable.

I posted in the other thread about partitions.
Benchmarks test your system and give it a score, and processor speed will affect this. IN terms of games, there will only be tiny differences that you cannot see between the two, if any. 2.8ghz is far more than any game will need for a while. |

Remember, I'm thinking that as long as it can play games fine, you can go with the lower speed. Right now, the 2.8C is a better deal, and I'd recommend it - a 200Mhz difference is innegligible almost.

Ok, what about the Sapphire Radeon 9800Pro and the ATI one, which one is better? I looked at booth and the only differnce I saw was an S-video output. Then again I'm trying to stay with big names when buying parts.

Both are good, and if you don't need S-Video I would get the cheapest. Model Numbers might help though.

There's almost no difference - the quality and all is the same. I'd get the one you can find for less expensive...probably the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro.

Yes, Sapphire is a good brand, actually any VPU using ATI is a good brand. ATI enforces a strict quality control guidlines to which these manufacturers are required to follow - so to assure that all cards are similar to the original ATI-Made cards.
Hope that helps, kram |

What do you mean? Sapphire is basically a manufaturer, the ATI part of Sapphire is the chip they're using - the Radeon 9800 Pro Visual Processing Unit. Sapphire uses the chip and makes the physical card - so in essence, it's Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro, but it uses the ATI chip, like any other manufacturer
.Hope that helps, kram |
