This P4P800D w/on board raid not that fast...couldn't it be faster?

Just wondering here... kinda thinking aloud and willing to listen to inputs... Have this P4P800 deluxe, RAID 0, in 64K stripe size with 2 80g Maxtor 8mb drives, four 256 mb RAM for a total of 1G running and a slight overclock of a 3.2 @ 3.36. 'K, here's the kicker. It just doesn't seem all that fast. Due to my work, I use a variety of computers and yet when I work with my own... it just doesn't seem as fast as even some lesser powered ones. What am I missing here? Should the stripe size be smaller or bigger? Who's has the insight. I just wonder if something isn't configured properly. Thank you

Looks like the exact setup I built last weekend right down to the twin Maxtors except I'm running an Intel 3.0. Have it running beside 2.53 Intel cpu with 512ram and one drive. There's no comparing the two with the new one being so much faster.

Might try the defualt settings in the BIOS.
