Wire sleeving kit (help)

hey guys, I just bought a wire sleeving kit for the wires on the inside of my case. However I'm not exactly sure how to get some of the sleeves over the bigger connectors and was looking for a little bit of help or tips and tricks. thanks

ok i can't find the picture of this trick right now but to sleave the atx connector you bend all the wires down along the connector, then use tape to hold them there, and finally just slide the sleaving over the connector

hope this helps

What connectors are you having trouble with?

When i sleeved my psu, i needed a molex pin remover for the 4 pin molex connectors.

When I did mine I cut the molex connector wires off, slipped heatshrink over the wires, put the sleeving on and then clipped the sleeving back temporarily with a cable tie. Soldered the joints and insulated with the heatshrink, cut the cable tie off and let the sleeving cover the cable the cable tied the ends down. Luckily my ATX connector already had the sleeving on it

Radioshack has em. Or you can order it over the internet. SVC.com sells them and Frozencpu.com also has them

When I did mine, I just used a pin to push in the little "wings" on the pins in the molex connectors. As long as your careful, you can bend them right back pretty easily

You can also use the tube from a pen. try various sizes but it works just as well either this one pen1 or pen2

ps edit: the reason I offer theses alternatives is so that your not stuck with a useless tool after the sleeving is done

ciao
