I'd stay away from the eMachine.

As far as the parts list, I'd stay away from Samsung hard drives and optical drives...reliability issues. And the power supply in that case probably isn't a very good one either.

The on-board video on that motherboard is probaby comparable to a GeForce II, which is much better than a TNT II. So yeah, the on-board video should work fine with Madden.

A Lite-On optical drive and Western Digital hard drive would be good. Definetly get a different PSU. An Enlight 360w would be perfect. Everything else looks good to me.

You can still use the case if you like it. It doesn't cost much. Just throw out the power supply.

You could do that or just get a case from Antec, AOpen, Enlight, Chenbro, Thermaltake or Lite-On...they all come with good quality power supplies.

Geography plays an important part in what and where to purchase. First, I'll assume that you are in the United States. There are all kinds of mail order firms. But they usually don't mail out of the US.

Next, if you gave some hint as to your actual city maybe suggestions could come out for local sources. Sometimes some things are better purchased locally. The shipping could bust the deal on some things.

New Egg is generally a good source for a lot of things. But they'll sock it on cables. I get them locally.

For cases, you might consider Price Watch (www.pricewatch.com). They have cheap shipping.

For a monitor, you might want to consider a 19" KDS from Office Depot.com. They're running a special that ends Sat. It's $20 less than the Phillips monitor. Check this LINK for details and extra coupon ($20).

For a CD burner, you might just want to check the Sunday newspaper and get on of the specials if white doesn't bug you. It'll be less expensive and come w/software.

Or, just pop about another $45 and get a DVD burner that comes with software!

Get a larger hard drive. New Egg will give you an 80 GB hard drive for the same money. You get a fast computer, all of a sudden you do different things with it.
