Yes, it's possible to have too many fans to cool a computer efficiently. It's better to have a nicely balanced cooling fan set up than to just go with sheer number of fans. Too many fans will cause too much turbulence and reduce cooling efficiency.

As Cricket says too many fan's can cause problems, a well balanced cooling setup works better, you want the same airflow going out as there is going in. So for exmaple if you got 2 80mm intake you want the same near the rear of the case to give a good through-flow

I have 1 case fan (exhaust) and my CPU runs 44°C idle. MB temp is 39°C.
These are nice temps. . . but even that one case fan is one too many for me. . . Anyway, yes you can have too much fans. Remember that they also require power so you need a PSU that can handle it. RJ

The more fans you have, their is more noise being produced.

The more fans you have the less family members which use the computer
![]() You also need a case which will fit all the fans in, and I don't see loads of cases with the option for lots of fans. |

does not matter how many fans u have, but make sure the air leaves and comes in, in a flow, and u don’t want 2 fans blowing at each other, that means u don’t want 2 circulations of air you want one big one for the whole case

it would be better to get less fans with higher air flow, this would be less power and still help with cooling with less noise.
