Moniter makes Ringing sound

Yeh I have Dell moniter and it makes the most anoying ringing sound I've ever heard. It never used to make this sound. But every once in a while almost every day it makes this very high pitched ringing sound and I have no idea what it can be. Sometimes gently hitting the side of the moniter will fix it but sometimes that wont even phaze it. Does anyone know what this ringing might be? Speakers too close? Too hot? or something else I don't know. Please help.

Have you tried Degaussing it? Also might want to try unplugging it and letting it sit a bit.

Check for electrical interfearance. move telephones, unsheilded speakers, magnets away from the monitor. Plug the monitor into a diffrent outlet. Try the monitor on another computer to see if it has the problem.
