Question IR MA-620 USB problem

hello,
i just bought a IR adapter(moblie action MA-620) for my moblie phone(nokia 6800)and PC.
i can get it to work initially but after a few minutes it disconnects and will not reconnect.

i found someone with a similar problem and his tip was this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i recently bought a usb IR adapter for my phone and it didnt work well, kept intermittently connecting and disconnecting. i opened the IR monitor settings in the Control Panel and unticked "install software for plug and play devices within range" under the "options" tab. it works without any problems now
i'm using nokia pc suite 5.0
hope this works for others too...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now i've looked all over XP(assume it was XP he's using) for this option in control panel but be dammned if i can find it!!

anyone point me in the right direction?
