Hi,
I have a problem. I use to have windows 3.1. Then I upgrade to windows 98 and guess what? Windows can't find my mouse anymore. My mouse is a serial adapter, which mean it's old. However, I tried installing win3.1 again, and my mouse work! I tried win 98 again, and it can't detect it. I tried going into control panel using the keyboard, tried detecting the mouse and all.. still have no luck. |

I'm using windows 98 second edition upgrade. I tried what you said, still no luck. I know it's not a hardware problem because in 3.1, it worked.

Windows 9x does not like some of those PS/2 to serial adapters. If you have a PS/2 port, use that - if not, use a true serial mouse.
