HP computer problem
hey guys,
i purchased an HP comp about 10 months ago, its an a220n (if anyones interested in checking it out at www.hp.com ...) anyways, i live in israel, and im planning on going back to it in about 3 weeks from now, the case is very heavy, and the PSU is pretty crappy so i wanna buy a new case and PSU in israel, so i decided the best thing to do would be to leave the PSU and case here, take all the parts in a box with styrofoam and all that, and then get a new, good PSU and case in israel. ive been told that regular PSU's wont work with the mobo and stuff like that, i think the model is A7N8X-LE (thats what the hp.com site said, i think) so im afraid im gonna fry my mobo, and even if thats not the case, ppl told me that the screw slots in the mobo arent in the regular ATX form places or something, so if that is the case, ill have to just put it on the table or something, without a case.. what do u guys think ? on thursday, once i get my main connection up and all, ill post 3 pix of the mobo and such, including measures of the PSU and mobo, if those are important, if not then tell me so i wont.. 10x for the help guys and i really hope none of this will be a concern, KoMoDo |

Many of the big computer makers create "proprietary" systems, these parts are custom made by some of the big name makers but they only work with their motherboards/cases/PSUs/etc..
It may or may not work. Most of us in the do it your self business don't waste time buying these systems or experimenting on what parts may or may not work in or out of the original system, you could try doing a google search to see if someone may know the answer. |
