Hi,

My motherboard only came with 3 PCI slots. No ISA's>


I want to get a better modem cause Im having problems with my current one.

In your opinion what is the best PCI 56k modem i can get?

Well, there are not many PCI hardware-modems out. If you don't find one, you also can get an external modem (connected to the COM port).

The Zoom 2940 is a hardware controlled PCI modem, Lucent chipset. Not as speedy as the Rockwell ACF chipsets, but just as stable in my experience.

They are a bit pricey, though. Your best bet would be to get a Diamond Supra Express serial.

Yes, just bought a v.92 and it's a good one, although using v.90. It's backward compatible. But, it don't happen as good as the Express
