1st time builder, Got everything together and hit the switch and nothing, Not even fans. Using MSI K7T Turbo T-Bird 900.Checked and rechecked jumpers,Changed PS twice, checked power sw. pins,Still nothing. Disconnected everything took MB out of case, left in Video card and RAM and shorted PS pins, and still nothing. Bad MB is rare isn't it? HELP.

Reseat everything, check for CPU damage from heatsink. I just built one today with K7T-Turbo, Duron 700, no jumpers to set in my case.

I'm sorry just one jumper the clear CMOS jumper. Came shorted pins 2 & 3 moved to 1 & 2 before power up. No CPU damage, no visable damage at all to the board, and still no power?

Do the LED's light up at all? any of them? That board will start momentarily when the power is applied if it is working properly, even without using the power switch button.

Wedor I'm still getting nothing!! no LED's no fans. I'm getting ready to ship back. Tried everything I can think of!! Haven't looked at the heatsink fan yet though, would that keep it from powering up if the fan was bad?

I'm assuming you've done this already..but here it goes anyway: Have you taken the motherboard out of the case and tried firing it up with just cpu/video/ram outside the case? HTH

According to the manual if you apply power to the board with the CMOS jumper in the 2-3 position it will damage the board, did you apply power before moving the jumper? if so it may be dead from that if it wasn't DOA to start with.

Just wanted to let everyone know I got my system up and running. Turns out the MSI manual was wrong, the clear CMOS jumper was backward, so much for last weekend. later
