I had bought a Vega board about 2 months ago, it's a socket 370 for a coppermine p3. Set up everything and it worked for maybe 2 days....then on bootup nothing, no cpu fan, no case lights, no hdd lights, nothing. Sent the mb back, it was faulty.
I get the 2nd mb now...set it all up, on the first bootcpu fan turned on...but nothing on the monitor and no sounds from hd. 2nd boot...back to nothing, nothing turned on but the cdrom and the case fan. Is it feasible to think that the memory i have-due to incompatability, blew away 2 mbs? as this is the only component that i can think of that is having an impact on this entirely new system i was trying to put together, especially when i've run the system with just the cpu/fan, memory, video card, and power switch installed. what does everyone think? |

The monitor would also be on to see the POST so that would a bit of the load. It looks to be safe for the power supply.
Just a very slightly unseated video card?

Yeah, AGP cards go in pretty tight. Make sure they are in all the way (Without breaking it of course

I'm actually using a pci video card...but even if it was the video card...that doesn't explain why the cpu fan wasn't running...
