Intel or AMD? Based on your sig I'd imagine AMD?!
This was one of the only ones, at least for non AMD64 CPUS... http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...136-142&depa=0 Last edited by icallmedan; 07-15-2004 at 06:37 PM. |

HERE is an AMD board with all of those things. It's the only one I trust that has them that I could find. I say you should just get a good board that has onboard SATA and install a cheap video card since you don't seem to be a gamer.

You're going to have to do some looking to find a good name brand with those features. SATA / RAID, and on-board video arn't usualy used in the same sentince. SATA being somwhat advanced, and on-board video being used for basic / workstation / el-cheapo builds. I would go with Hi Ho. Get a good board in your price range that has everything else you want, and slip in a cheap video card.

You can get a pretty cheap video card for $10-20...so it might be better to do that, plus you will more than likely getter an overall better build.

what does a video card exactly effect? i mean, im pretty sure i won't be playing much of any games (maybe now and then). does a video card effect anything else other than gaming? like watching dvds, videos etc. anyone recomment me one around $50? thanks.

PowerColor 9200... a good budget card for about $50....
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...131-244&depa=0 Any graphically related thing is affected by the video card...so basically anything you can see through your monitor, Games, DVDs, Video Files. A better video card will pretty much just play games better, any 2D applications such as Windows XP, Internet Explorer, will all look the same on mos any video card.
