AMD Tbird 1Ghz
Abit KT7A-RAID 256MB Corsair (2x) 64MB ATI Radeon (AGP) with a PCI FireGL 1000 Pro as an alternate for loading the case has a 300W power supply so far, I havent gotten the motherboard to load up anything (will not POST), which is a frequent problem from what I gather I dont know if anything is fried, and I was also wondering.. can I test the mobo outside of the case, without grounding? wanted to be positive before I attempted addenda.. cpu fan is connected to the right place, everything is seated properly [Edited by Sayter on 03-19-2001 at 03:12 AM] |

Yes, you can do that. Just plug in the vid card, processor, heatsink/fan, RAM, and power connector outside the case, and short the two pins on the mobo for the power switch with a paper clip, it should post and bring you into the BIOS.

There is a row of pins on the motherboard for the cables coming from the front panel of the case. One pair is for the power button. Just *momentarily* short these 2 together with anything - paper clip, screwdriver, whatever. Do the same to power it off, or pull the power plug.
