please help!
I got a Cd-RW drive from a friend. it has no brand name on it al it says is that its a USB 2.0 48x16x48. it works no prob on a Win XP system, but on my Win 98SE the computer has no idea what it is. Ive had it working on this system before ( i found some driver but cant remeber for the life of me where i got it or what it is called) but then i reformated the drive and Opps! no more driver! If anyone knows of a generic USB CD-RW driver that wil work on Winows SE please let me know! |

Win98's ability do so USB devices is at best-> lousy. The fact that your drive is 2.0 probably makes it worse.
Might hook it to the XP machine and try to get more info. They are many utilities like Aida32 that that might even provide a link to the makers web site. |
