Good +Quiet P4 CPU fan?

Any advice for a quiet p4 3.0 northwood cpu fan? I have the stock "retail box" fan on it now.
When my PC is pretty much calm the current fan spins fairly quiet at about 3400-3600 rpm,
but forget it when playing games like BFvn. It jumps to 5000+ rpm and is loud as hell. I hear IT over the game audio!
I'd like to replace it but have no idea what is a quiet and good qual fan.

I haven't OC'd yet. but may bump the MOBO A.I. OC settings 5%-10% in the near furure.

Most fans I see have noise and airflow ratings. What is the min. airflow I would need for an OC'd p4 3.0c?

I want this thing to be quiet already!

BTW- what's the max temp I'd ever want my cpu to reach and whats standard op temp range? & Should I have more fans on exhaust or intake in the case?

Thanks

Check out the Zalman web site and see if they have anything that meets your needs.

Try to keep it under 65C. Normal temp range varies from computer to computer...you could see temps as low as 30C or as high as 45C.

I'd want more exhaust than intake to help remove built up heat from the case.

isn't it always better to have more air inside then out because if theres nothing inside then theres nothing for heat to transfer to?

you could go with watercooling, you can have a very silent watercooled setup.

With an exhaust fan installed and blowing warm air out of the case, you naturally have cool air being drawn in from somewhere (hopefully the front of the case) and you'll have air will be moving through the case cooling the interior components. Even with no fan installed, there is always air in the case for heat to transfer to...it's this warmed up air you want to get rid of.

Vantec makes pretty good CPU Heatsinks as well. I got a Vantec AeroFlow and even during the most encoding and gaming its only gotten up to 50 C on a 90 F day!
