Partitioned Hard Drive Speed Question
I'm planning to use an 80gb hard drive for one of our PCs in the office. Will running the OS along with other programs run faster in a small partitioned drive than running it on an unpartitioned drive?

Not sure I understand what you mean. The drive has to be partitioned in one form or another. Do you mean splitting the drive up into 2 or more partitions? If so, then yes, you can get a little more efficiency because you can more easily keep the drives defragmented with the OS on one logical drive (partition) and programs and data on another logical drive.
