built the comp my self and i went to the bios and selected the ps\2, plug and play to yes. and for some reason every other time i restart or turn off then on, my keyboard and mouse wont work.

Which Operating System?
For grins, you might look in the bios for the option to "hault on errors." Should have an option to hault with keyboard errors.. |

win xp
its win xp home, i tried all of the options for halt on, and it still dose it. i even swung tested the mouse and keboard on another system and new mouse and key board on it also with the items not responding on every other restart or turning it off the on.

coould you have picked up a virus from somewhere? its a long shot but maybe.
and obviously make sure the drivers, if any are correctly installed and configured. if it is literally every other time i would suspect a virus to be havin a laugh with me tbh but if its random then i dunno. maybe the PS2 connections arent all that great. Nathan |

I have the same problem before and the only way to have them working was to remove the jumper and reinstalled in recovery then to normal. until I reformatted HDD.
