Laptop battery question
Is it harmful to unplug a laptop (to use the battery rather then wall), then only use the battery for a short time (5-30 mins maybe), then plug it back in before the battery has run down?
I know that on some cordless phones, you hurt the battery life if you put it on the charger before the battery is dead. Are laptops the same way, or can you plug them back in when you're done using the battery no problem? Thanks. |

I belive the newer laptops have lithium/ion batteries and doing that will not hurt them at all.
the older ones had nickel cadium batteries and they would develope a memory and should be run down completely before recharging them. |
