I need to find a cooling fan that will work with a AMD Athlon Thunderbird

I want to buy the best available liquid cooling fan (those are the best, correct?) that will work with the AMD Athlon Thunderbird.

I am a newbie to working inside a computer and all -- _any_ help is much appreciated. Thank you!

"liquid cooling fan"? What's that? Do you mean water cooling?

My suggestion is that since you're a "newbie to working inside a computer", forget about water cooling and just get a good regular heatsink with a good fan instead. Anything from Thermalright would work great.

I would have to agree with Cricket. You may want to be more familiar with computers before undertaking a water cooled system. Water and elelctrical components don't mix well. One leak and your system can become trash. If you just need a heat sink and fan, check out Speeze's Falcon Rock. Good heatsink/Fan and not very expensive.

Also, unless you intend to heavily overclock, then air cooling will handle a thunderbird with no problems at all. You'll find that crickets recommendation, Thermalright range, will handle the job well.

You could mean a heatsink with heat pipes, like some of Thermalrights range, although they are expensive and only really need for overclocking.
