You think this would cool good

Do you think it would work good to take this "Ducked" thing and instead of just extending where the fan goes put two fans on it. Almost like a vortex. I hope you understand what I just said.

Actually, the answer is probably no. Reason: Two 30cfm fans in a case side by side, each pulling their own air, will result in 60cfm of air being moved. In the case of what you are saying, two 30cfm fans pulling the same stream of air in a line from one to the next still equals 30cfm of air. Make sense?

The purpose of that duct is to get rid of the "deadspot" directly under the fan, which is a result of the center of the fan. By adding the slight curve, and increasing the gap between the fan and the heatsink, more of the heatsink is hit with cool air. Adding a fan under the duct would defeat it's purpose, and also be noisier.

does the duct need to be curved like that to get rid of the deadspot? I'm thinking about putting a duct on my heatsink soon as well, but on my case it would be easier to attach the other end of the duct to the side panel.

It doesn't have to be curved, no. Some people just use the outside case of an old fan, take the fan out of the middle, and use that. Just some kind of a spacer to get rid of the dead spot.

No problem. The other way to go is to just do what I did and buy an 92mm Tornado running 119 CFM. That thing has so much suction, I don't think there's a dead spot. When I first got it, I wanted to plug it in and test it before I put it in, so I plugged it into an open lead on the PSU. It took off across the desk!

Hmm if you put it on a front intake you can put the fan on the end and screw the duct into the case making the cool air being intaked point upward which might help cool things down a bit.

119 cfm??

Im currently working on a new project (ill post about it when im ready), lets just say 2,400 cfm (yes 2,400)

FLG, are you talking about just one fan? Cuz if yer talkin' about all your case fans too, than I'm pulling over 600 CFM. Still nowhere near 2400, I just wanna be clear on what we are comparing here.
