Hi
I have 4 standard fans on the case of my PC 1 at the back sucking out air, 2 at the front sucking in air and 1 at the side sucking out air. When i look through my case window i can see alot of dust gathering in my PC. Will the dust affect my PC? And what r some ways i can prevent it? Much thanks in advance )))))))))

It could cause some parts to run warmer. You can blow it off with compressed air (I just blow it off), and you can buy filters to put in front of the fans.

The best thing to prevent the dust is to place the PC as high as you can from the floor. Every machine that I have worked on, which was extremely full of dust bunnies was pretty much sitting on the ground. Sometimes the dust makes fans sound louder and eventually could lead to premature failure.

Those green scrub pads available at any store in the cleaning supplies section make great filters.

where ever the air is coming in (2 at the front sucking in air ) on the the outside of the metal you place the filter material. The simplest is just to tape the edge of the stuff down around the holes, since this is inside the bezel you do not have to look at it. Here in lies a problem though cause you need to monitor the filter and replace/clean it BEFORE it gets clogged and stops any air from getting in. There are more sophisticated filters (See thread linked below) too
I'd be more likely to take the approach of keeping the dust away from the pc so it does not get sucked in in the first place. Raising the PC off thre floor, more cleaning of the surrounding area, area air filtering (hepa filters sort of thing) just so you do not have to worry about a air flow intake loss and then have an over heating of the components problem. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?threadid=95554
